Biography

On October 16th, Liza returned to the role of Gwen Hotchkiss, which she originated at the launch of "Passions" in 1999. Liza, who is the daughter of daytime legend Susan Lucci, loved acting and performing from the time she was a little girl. "My parents realized they had a performer on their hands when, at age 5, I called the house painters in to the living room for an impromptu, solo dance recital!"

Since the fall of 2000, Liza has been studying with the renowned acting coach, Alan Savage, in New York City. She has also studied at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, The Terry Schreiber Studio and at the Lynette Sheldon Actors Studio. Additionally, Liza trained extensively in improvisation at the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts with Richard Schechner. Liza received her undergraduate degree in Communications (film production) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In addition to "Passions", Liza made her television movie debut in Lifetime TV's original movie "Ebbie." On stage, she co-produced and starred in "Four Dogs and a Bone" at the Harold Clurman Theater. She also recently signed with the famous Ford Modelling Agency for commercial print.

Liza is thrilled to be back on "Passions" and following her dreams...as well as her heart! She no longer believes in being a meticulous planner, "You have to leave room for life to surprise you!"
